Awesome Science - Yosemite/Zion National Parks

Informative and Great for Reinforcement of a Biblical Worldview
I have reviewed the entirety of Season 1 of this series(if you are interested in reading those reviews, click the "Curriculum Reviews" tab at the top of the blog) and our family enjoyed them, so I was thrilled to get the opportunity to review this episode from Season 2.

We are so inundated with "millions of years" and evolution in this world, that it can be difficult for a parent who does not believe that to find resources to teach their children that there is, in fact, scientific evidence that backs up the biblical account of a literal 7 day creation and rest period and of a worldwide flood.

This series created by his father, Kyle Justice who has produced videos that have appeared on many channels including National Geographic.

In this episode, your friendly field guide, Noah Justice (the son of Kyle Justice) leads us on a journey through two of America's most visited natural attractions, Yosemite and Zion National Parks.

Critique of the Awesome Science video:
Explore Yosemite and Zion National Parks

This DVD is full of information about the amazing beauty of both Yosemite National Park and Zion National Park. Geologic phenomena are discussed and the evolutionary and creationist viewpoints are clearly contrasted. He talks constantly at such a high level of energy, emphasizing every word with no real break, that the audience feels it is being "shouted" at. He also seems a bit young and his manner tends to alienate the older students. I...

Awesome
As soon as my kids seen the package they got pretty excited. They just can't get enough of Awesome Science Series.

My kids feel like they are going on a field trip in each series. I love it that not only are they enjoying it but they are learning at the same time. They learn new vocabulary words. When a word comes across they don't know I pause the video and we look it up in the dictionary. Then my son tries to impress his friends with some fancy words! Got to love it.

My kids were intrigued by the chemistry section with the granite rocks. I love that it is presented in a Biblical Worldview. I don't have to go back over it and show what the Bible says like some other sources we have done. The scripture reference is shown along with each area to prove the validity of the Bible.

The most impressive part is the pictures and video's of the parks. They are breath taking seeing our Saviors creation.

I was given the study guide to look through and...
